This Rangoon Red Mustang has been in the same owners possession for 35 years, and it has been well loved and taken care of. Red and White Pony interior has replaced the original black vinyl seat covers. And a 289 has replaced the original 260 power plant, and is backed by a C-4 transmission. Although the restoration is 20 years old, it still show like brand new. RUN, don't walk to look at this beautiful pony, it won't last long. All Mustangs built between March of 1964 and August 17th, 1964 are considered “early 1965” Although originally the Mustang was advertised as an early 1965 model, Ford made some changes to the later 1965 models that differentiated the two, and it is known today as the 1964 1/2 Mustang (1964.5 Mustang). Thus, the term 1964 1/2 or 1964.5 was eventually coined.
