1980 Ford Fiesta

Did you know that GM owned the rights to the Fiesta name? They did and it was used in the 1950's for the Oldsmobile Fiesta however, the name was freely given to Ford to use on their new supermini. Originally Ford marketing team liked the name Bravo but Henry Ford II did not, so Fiesta was it. It was Fords first multi national front wheel drive automobile and would be introduced in 1976 and would be built until 1980. This crazy time capsule of a Fiesta that we are pleased to present is one of the most rust-free Fiestas I have seen…Not to mention you hardly ever see these anywhere…! This is definitely not a show piece as it does have some dings, scratches, faded paint and a dent or two but what you wont find is rot….This little ride was definitely undercoated very early on and still retains a lot of that undercoating today. With a five digit odometer I am going to t guess that it has 150k miles on the clock which means I am guessing the engine was rebuilt at some point as these typically did not last quite that long… It also appears that the car was in W. Virginia in a nice climate based on the DOT sticker from 2012. The interior is in good condition with the only issue is the driver side bolster is torn. The rubber on the windows and doors are in remarkably good condition, the lights work and so does the original AM/FM radio. This car starts nicely, idles nicely and goes down the road with no vibrations or noises. It is actually very tight in my opinion. It appears that someone was going to start maybe a restoration as there is a new decal kit, some trim pieces and other assorted items that are included in the sale along with the original owners manual. This Fiesta does not appear to be leaking anything and there is no smoke on start up….
