Although a lot of information regarding John Deloreans responsibility in the introduction of the GTO seems to be void in a lot of online information, make no mistake that the GTO would not have happened with out him. He was a little unorthodox for the bean counters at GM at the time, but it went through and it was a huge success. If you don't know the whole story regarding why it was not supposed to happen…all because of engine displacement in this platform, look it up, it's a great story. This particular stunning Aqua over blue GTO fitted with a 4-speed manual and tri-power set up checks all the boxes. Its not a trailer queen as it appears to have been re-painted some time ago and has some cosmetic blemishes but still shows extremely well. The interior minus the seats look original and maybe the floor pans were replaced because they look incredible. This car starts, runs, idles, accelerates, sounds and goes down the road like it should. I love this car. It comes with the Pontiac manifest for this car along with factory coding sheet. It has a clear MI title and is 100% ready to go and be enjoyed. The tires and brakes feel good, there are no shimmys or shakes, does not leak or smoke and the doors shut very nicely.
