So, this is the second time that Porsche has produced a mid-engine two-seat roadster. The first time was the 914 which was as much VW as it was Porsche. This time Production began in 1996 in the old 928 Stuttgart facility and turned out to be Porsche biggest volume seller until the Cayenne was launched in 2003. They are now on their fourth generation which is still being produced along with the Cayman, another mid engine two-seater. Even though the 914 was the first production mid engine roadster, the 911 before production was talked about being produced mid-engine….subsequently it was not. This particular Guard Red Boxster S fitted with the 3.2 is a very nice unmolested car fitted with the desirable 6-speed manual. It comes with both keys, a clean carfax and is ready for its next adventure. These are an absolute blast to drive especially in the “S” variant. Very quick and nimble. Everything is in working order on this unit including climate control. There is not a lot out there with this type of performance and condition under the $20k mark. The exterior. paint, top and interior are all nice.
