2005 Chevrolet SSR

The late 1990's and early 2000's saw the resurgence of auto manufacturers trying there hands at bringing back the old designs and even nameplates in a retro sort of way. Some of them took off or evolved in to other platforms and some just went by the wayside which is not uncommon in the design of cars and trucks. In 2003, Chevrolet introduced the SSR which is a retractable hardtop roadster pickup truck with some 50's roundness to it. The early trucks as in 2003 and 2005 used GM's 300 HP 5.3 Liter V8 mated to a Automatic but in 2005 the engine power increased to a 6.0 Liter near 400 HP Corvette engine that you could now get with a manual transmission!. In total over the course of four years, just over 24,000 units were produced. They were pretty highly optioned units with a very comfortable interior. This particular stunning example is a Silver 6-speed example that comes out of a garage with three other SSR's. It is in wonderful original condition that is in need of nothing. The convertible top mechanisms have all been serviced and or repaired recently and is in good functioning shape along with all the other components of this truck. It starts perfectly, idles nicely, sounds even better and goes down the road exactly like it should. The paint and interior are also very nice. It has a clean carfax and is serviced and 100% ready to go. A modern day collectable surely increasing in value and a true delight to drive.
