1986 Land Rover DEFENDER 110

Excited to represent this LHD! Defender 110 that was imported and then cosmetically restored by Haacke Motors in Layton, UT sometime ago. These Defenders have a huge international cult following for overlanding, trekking an entire continent and overall 4-wheeling. They are seriously built like tanks and this one is no exception. The biggest question to answer first is that the underside is one of the nicest I have seen and is seriously free from any rot or major corrosion, just a little surface rust on bare steel. Some of the suspension componenets that were changed years ago, still look new with stickers. This Rover is still fitted with its original 3.5 Liter Rover V8 that runs smoothly. The clutch and transmission feel new and the brakes are also good with no pulling of any sorts. The interior looks as though it was redone at time of cosmetic restoration with plastic still on the benches of the rear side seats. These are very simple and mechanical beasts boasting heat and lights basically with some fresh air vents as well as crank windows and no power locks. It does have power steering and brakes. This thing is not a squeaky, smelly rattling truck with a pretty smooth ride all things considered. The Defender had a 67 year run that ended in 2016 with just over two-million Defender 90,110 and 127/130s produced built in a variety of styles including 3-doors, 5-doors, 2-door pickups and 3-door panel trucks. These vehicles were deployed in every corner of the world for military operation as well as expeditions in the harshest enviroments. They have definitely earned their spot in automotive history. These left hand drive imports are relatively hard to find.
