Classic Motor Carriages was at one time the world's largest specialty car company in the world, operating a 160,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. You probably know of the founding company, the Tiffany Motor Car company out of Oklahoma that built the Gazelle. Well, what we have here is a real nice 500K replica built by Classic Motor Carriages at their facility in Fargo, North Dakota. This example was special ordered and not sent out as a kit as most of them were but was actually built in house with a pretty rare 350 cubic inch V8 which was not the norm for these as most examples had Ford running gear. In its heyday, it is said that GMC was doing $15,000,000 to $20,000,000 in revenue and selling hundreds of kits each month. This is finished in burgundy and black with a real nice soft top. All the lights and gauges work, the car starts right up and idles nicely. The small block pushes this thing right along and is a joy to drive. It is believed that about 200 of these particular units were built and this example is number 158. The consignor has taken a decent car and made it a lot better after going through mechanicals and brakes. Has upgraded brakes, both front and rear, suspension linkages, newer tires, newer aluminum radiator etc….Has a nice stereo system and looks fantastic. This replica is ready to go and be enjoyed.
