1976 Chevrolet K-20 Silverado Camper Special

OMG! When was the last time you have seen one of these? We
are pleased to offer this highly original, well kept, 1975 Chevrolet
K20 Silverado Camper Special 4X4 pick up for your consideration.
This Camper Special 4X4 was new at Hamby Motors Inc. of
Hillsboro, OR, on November 25, 1975. The truck was a special
order that came delivered in Frost White over special order Cloth
Penent interior with saddle trim. Power comes from its 454 big
block V8 engine, automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive. The
truck was special ordered from the with all the Camper Special
options to include the heavy-duty suspension, HD Radiator, H
Brakes, gauge package, camper wiring, HD generator, etc.;
Silverado trim package, exterior trim décor, special order interior
with Silverado trim, AM / FM radio, power steering, power brakes,
factory a/c, 8 foot fleetside box, camping mirrors, folding bench
seat, soft ray tinted glass, etc. The truck resided in the State of
Oregon and was mainly used for its intended purpose, trips and
vacations. The truck is said to have had two owners prior to our
recent acquisition and total miles are 123971. The 454 V8 was
dealer installed early in its life to replace the 400 CID V8 as more
horsepower was needed. The presentation of the truck supports
the verbal history.

Today, this Camper Special presents itself in wonderful, highly
original, unrestored condition. The exterior paint is “driver
quality” and areas have been resprayed, however we do not see

any indication of body work, the original wood grain decal has
been replaced. The body is extremely clean and straight and has
excellent fitment. The trim is complete and appears to be all
original to the truck, the bed remains very clean. The underside of
the truck remains very original, except for serviceable items. It is
clean, dry and demonstrates an excellent original core structure
with nothing to hide. The interior does retain some originality and
shows wonderful patina throughout.
Under the hood presents very original and unmolested.
Mechanically the truck runs and drives great. Very smooth and
tight over bumps, the steering tracks straight, the motor is
powerful and runs like a champ and the transmission shifts
smooth. Both exhaust manifolds were replaced by us.

Camper Special 4X4's are rarely seen in the GM square body
genre, and one with this originality and highly optioned is a
unicorn. In a market where Square Body pickups are so highly
sought after, the one here is must consider. A perfect candidate
to enjoy exactly the way it is and consider some targeted
refurbishments with no surprises. Documentation in includes the
